Primary Division

Pre-Professional Level

Recreational Division

1 Class per Week for Ages 3-5


The Primary Division is designed for our youngest dancers and offers a child-friendly introduction to the world of ballet in a creative atmosphere. They are invited to participate in our December In-studio Showcase as well as our June Season Finale performance.

Recreational Division

Pre-Professional Level

1-2 Classes per Week for Ages 5-18


The Recreational Division is designed for students who wish to explore the art of ballet in an introductory setting. This division will train students in the technical basics of ballet while incorporating body awareness, musicality, and artistry. Students who pursue this path are invited to perform in our

The Recreational Division is designed for students who wish to explore the art of ballet in an introductory setting. This division will train students in the technical basics of ballet while incorporating body awareness, musicality, and artistry. Students who pursue this path are invited to perform in our June Season Finale performance and audition for our December performance.

Academy Levels

Pre-Professional Level

3-5 Classes per Week for Ages 7+


The Academy Levels of study are intended for dancers who have had a minimum of one year of training and are ready to expand their classical technique. It will include two technique classes per week and be supplemented with one or more of the following areas of study: Strength and Conditioning, Contemporary,

The Academy Levels of study are intended for dancers who have had a minimum of one year of training and are ready to expand their classical technique. It will include two technique classes per week and be supplemented with one or more of the following areas of study: Strength and Conditioning, Contemporary, Lyrical, Character,

and Turns and Jumps. Pre-pointe/Pointe is offered once the required technical ability and strength has been achieved. This level is invited to perform in both

our December and June Season Finale performances.

  • Expand role opportunities in IAA performances
  • Pave a pathway for added success in other areas of dance/sport interests

6+ Classes per Week for Ages 10+


Pre-professional study is for students who have a minimum of three years of classical training and are interested in the pathway toward a professional career. IAA requires that the student commit to the following weekly classes to be considered for this division of study: 


2-3 Ballet Technique classes

1 Conte

6+ Classes per Week for Ages 10+


Pre-professional study is for students who have a minimum of three years of classical training and are interested in the pathway toward a professional career. IAA requires that the student commit to the following weekly classes to be considered for this division of study: 


2-3 Ballet Technique classes

1 Contemporary class

1 Stretch/Conditioning class

1 Character class

1 Pre-pointe/Pointe class 

1 Private lesson


Students are also required to perform in the December and June Season Finale performance opportunities. In addition, students may pursue the option of training for and attending classical ballet competitions.

  • Specialized training for acceptance to classical dance conservatory schools such as OCSA, LACHSA, CSarts, etc.
